These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Gateway APIs platform, including its APIs, website, services, and supporting infrastructure ("Service"). By registering for, accessing, or using the Service, you ("User") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
"Service" refers to all APIs, documentation, dashboards, and related services provided by Gateway APIs.
"User" or "you" means any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Service.
"Content" includes any data, requests, code, or other material submitted through or processed by the Service.
Gateway APIs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to access and use the Service strictly in accordance with these Terms.
You must not use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes, or in a manner that violates these Terms or any applicable law.
You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account and must ensure compliance with applicable laws and these Terms at all times.
You are responsible for securing your account credentials, including API keys, and preventing unauthorised access.
You agree to provide and maintain accurate account information.
You are responsible for ensuring that data sent to or processed through the Service does not infringe third-party rights or violate any law.
All intellectual property in the Service (including APIs, code, design, and documentation) is owned by Gateway APIs or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or distribute the Service, or use it to build competing services, without prior written consent.
Your use of the Service is subject to our privacy policy.
You are responsible for complying with all applicable data protection laws, including where you collect or transmit personal data using the Service.
In relation to any personal data processed through the Service on your behalf, you are the Data Controller and Gateway APIs is the Data Processor. For personal data provided during account registration (e.g., account admin information), Gateway APIs acts as the Data Controller.
You have rights regarding your personal data, including rights to access, correction, deletion, and restriction of processing, as set out in our privacy policy.
We retain account information, API logs, and usage data for as long as necessary to provide the Service, maintain platform security, comply with our legal obligations, and enforce our Terms.
API logs and usage data are retained in accordance with our security policy. Inactive accounts (with no API usage for six (6) months) may be deleted after providing prior notice.
To exercise your rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, please contact us. We will respond in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

The Service is provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Gateway APIs does not warrant uninterrupted, timely, or error-free access to the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gateway APIs’ total liability to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), misrepresentation, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount of fees paid by you in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Gateway APIs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion, including for breach of these Terms or non-payment.
Upon termination, all licences granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease and your data will be deleted in accordance with our retention policies.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, excluding any conflict of law rules.
Any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Where arbitration is unavailable, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will provide notice by updating the date at the top of the Terms and, where appropriate, may notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your agreement to the revised Terms.
